I am writing with regards to my elderly mother. The receptionist and doctors have been extremely supportive and helpful. My parents have been with the surgery for over 40 years; I was with the surgery but I am now calling from England to support my parents healthcare. Everyone is friendly, positive and informative and doing an excellent job in very difficult times. Many thanks.

I know everyone is struggling with staff numbers and volume of calls but unfortunately these are the times and hopefully waiting times will improve.

Called this practice yesterday and today (a of total 89) before the phone got picked up. Was informed that all the callback request had gone for today, and that I needed to call back tomorrow which would be my third day of trying to speak to a doctor. The receptionist Danielle was extremely helpful and polite, but the overall service of this practice is horrible. The hospitals are over run because local practices are not seeing patients. The covid pandemic is no excuse not to be seeing patients doctors are being paid to provide a service and the general public are not being given that service. Every other industry is open and staff are workng normal hours, grocery store staff have been working throughout this pandemic and have not been given the credit they deserve, but a doctor who is very well paid is doing phone consultation for about 10 patientd per day. It is outrageous and needs to change. If doctor's salary was cut in half they would soon be going back to seeing patients.

I would highly recommend this GP surgery to anyone needing a good doctor. I have been a member of another practice on the road and it doesn’t compare to Hillhead at all. The staff here are lovely and will do everything they can to help. The doctors are very very thorough and are also really nice and make you feel at ease. 10/10 to Hillhead family practice!

Myself and my family have been a members of this practice from when Dr Dan McAuley was in practice. I can say without hesitation that all staff members go beyond the call of duty. During my fathers final weeks they called to our house without us requesting them to do so just to make sure that not only was my father ok and not in any pain but also to check in on us. Anytime I have needed them they have done their level best to accommodate. Receptionists, nurses and the doctors are all excellent and deserve more praise than I can detail. 10/10 and definitely the best medical practice in Northern Ireland!

In my honest opinion this is the best doctors surgery in west Belfast. I have been a patient of another 2 and this is by far the best one. The doctors have time to sit and listen, the receptionists are lovely. The nurse practitioner Damien is brilliant especially with my children. Their process of getting an emergency appointment is a really good idea that should be used in all doctors surgeries. I have nothing bad to say about this doctors at all.
